What better way to celebrate the holiday than with a cozy movie marathon? Whether you’re hosting family, spending time with friends, or just relaxing after the big feast, a good movie can make Thanksgiving extra special. Check out our collection of Thanksgiving-themed films and feel free to take them home from the library:

  • Planes, Trains, and Automobiles – This comedy starring Steve Martin and John Candy is a Thanksgiving must-watch. A funny and heartfelt story about two mismatched travelers trying to get home for the holiday.
  • Home for the Holidays – Directed by Jodie Foster, this film stars Holly Hunter and Robert Downey Jr. in a humorous and touching story about family gatherings during the holidays.

Feel-Good Favorites:

  • The Holiday – A romantic comedy that’s perfect for Thanksgiving. It follows two women who swap homes for the holidays and end up finding love, self-discovery, and unexpected friendships.
  • Sweet November – A romantic drama that will make you think about life, love, and the connections we make.
  • Miracle on 34th Street – A classic that spans both Thanksgiving and Christmas, making it a perfect time to start watching holiday movies.

For the Whole Family:

  • Free Birds – An animated adventure where two turkeys travel back in time to change the course of history and save their kind from becoming the Thanksgiving dinner.
  • Fantastic Mr. Fox – A delightful stop-motion animated film directed by Wes Anderson, featuring a charming, witty fox who outsmarts the local farmers. With humor and heart, it’s a great choice for family viewing during the holiday season.
